We believe that visits to a redwood park, particularly for youth, will nourish their curiosity about the outdoors and cultivate a sense of stewardship that resonates with their individual interests, from ecology, recreation, or health and wellness to relationship building. Thus, a primary goal for the League is to provide engaging park experiences for youth, their families and communities so they experience the wonder of these remarkable forests.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2000, Save the Redwoods League has awarded <a href=\"https:\/\/www.savetheredwoods.org\/what-we-do\/our-work\/study\/funding-redwood-education\/education-grants-recipients\/\">more than 300 grants<\/a> for redwood field trips &mdash; serving thousands of children and families &mdash; and we are seeking community, school and park partners again this year to deliver in-park inspiration.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h2>2025 Call for Proposals<\/h2>\n<div class=\"well\" style=\"background-color:#fff2cc;border:none\">\nThe application period for our 2025-2026 Redwood Connect Grants is now CLOSED. Thank you to everyone that applied. Grants for the 2025-2026 year will be issued in November or December 2025.\n<\/div>\n<h3>Grant Criteria<\/h3>\n<p>The League seeks Redwood Connect Grant proposals for projects that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Deliver an inspiring firsthand experience in the redwoods, defined by community interests and needs.<\/li>\n<li>\n\t Directly serve participants of all ages who may not otherwise have the opportunity to visit the redwoods.\n\t <\/li>\n<li>\n\t Engage low-income communities, people of color, and Indigenous communities that often face barriers to outdoor access.\n\t <\/li>\n<li>Projects must be completed by the end of summer 2026.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Redwood Connect Grant Categories <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Single day visit: $2,000 (serving greater than 15 participants)<\/li>\n<li>Multiday visit or overnight(s): $4,000 (serving less than 20 participants)<\/li>\n<li>Multiday visit or overnight(s): $6,000 (serving greater than 20 participants)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>*Please note you can only apply to one of the above two grants.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Eligibility<\/h3>\n<p>We only accept applications from nonprofit organizations (including public agencies and schools) as described in 26 USC Section 170(b) (1) (A) [other than clauses (vii) and (viii)]. Individuals are not eligible to apply.
